December has always been my favorite kind of chaos. The kind that smells like cinnamon, paper, and coffee, and somehow mixes a to-do list with real excitement. Every year I look for new ways to make those 25 days before Christmas feel slower, calmer, and a little more magical. This time, it turned into something that took over my whole desk – Advent calendars filled with postcards or stickers.
I’ve loved Advent calendars since I was a kid. The small ritual of opening one envelope or box each day still feels like a secret. Chocolate was nice back then, but I guess as adults we crave a different kind of sweetness – a quiet moment, a surprise in paper form, or simply something that reminds us that December isn’t only about rushing.
So I started creating paper Advent calendars. They don’t melt, don’t expire, and don’t require sugar to make you happy. Each one is about stories, textures, and the pleasure of opening something that feels personal.
Exclusive postcard Advent calendar
This one is my proudest project. It includes 25 completely unique postcards created specially for this calendar – designs you won’t find in my shop. There’s a mix of moods and themes because I wanted everyone to find their own favorite. You’ll see cats, books, bees, letters, and little cozy corners that could easily fit into any season.

There are no Christmas-only designs here, so these postcards can travel the world in January or July just as well. Every card is packed into its own small paper bag with a numbered sticker. You can open one each morning, or all at once if patience is not your strongest skill.
Random postcard Advent calendar
This one is for those who love surprises even more than predictability. Each set has 25 random postcards from both the current and retired FavoritePostcard range. They come from all sorts of themes – cats, books, travel, letters, flowers, little everyday moments – but never from seasonal series like Christmas, Halloween, or Valentine’s.
Some calendars might look completely different, others surprisingly similar. That’s the charm of randomness. You never know which forgotten gem or favorite design will appear next.
Sticker Sheet Advent calendars – MINI and MAXI
Because not everyone writes postcards, but everyone loves stickers. The MINI version includes 25 smaller sticker sheets, perfect for journals, planners, or decorating December mail. The MAXI one is for the true sticker fans – 25 large sheets full of bright illustrations, festive colors, and cozy themes.

I pack them all the same way: numbered paper envelopes, a little imperfect, but full of heart. The kind of packaging that makes you feel like you’re opening a handmade gift every morning.
Why I love creating them
There’s something very grounding about paper. When I design or pack these calendars, I imagine people opening them slowly with their morning coffee, maybe before work, maybe while feeding the cat or waiting for the kettle to boil. One small ritual that makes winter softer.
These calendars are not about big gestures. They’re about tiny, kind moments. And maybe that’s what we all need most at the end of the year – something small, gentle, and real.
If you love postcards, letters, stickers, or that cozy feeling of having something to look forward to every day, one of these calendars might be your favorite December companion.
You can find all four versions here.
And whether you open them one day at a time or tear through all 25 in a single evening, I hope each piece of paper brings you the same warmth it brought me while creating it.
