About Favorite Postcard
Hello, I’m Salomėja, the person behind Favorite Postcard.
I live in Lithuania, I have been sending postcards through Postcrossing since 2008, and I opened Favorite Postcard in 2011 because I wanted more colourful, interesting and good-quality postcards to send.
At first, it was simply a practical problem: I needed better postcards for my own mailbox adventures.
Then it slowly became something much bigger.
Today, Favorite Postcard is a small independent shop for people who still love real mail: Postcrossers, postcard swappers, snail mail people, paper lovers, collectors, journal keepers and anyone who still gets excited when something personal arrives in the mailbox.
Here you’ll find postcards, stickers, washi tapes, letter paper, bookmarks, small stationery pieces and themed collections made for sending, collecting and enjoying.
I especially love products that make real mail feel easier and more personal: postcards that are easy to match with different profiles, ID stickers for Postcrossing, small decorating stickers, writing prompts, ready-made bundles, and little paper things that help you sit down and actually send the card.
A small shop, packed by a real person
Favorite Postcard is not a big company pretending to be cosy.
It is a small shop run by one person, with help and support from my family, creative partners and the lovely mail-loving community around it.
I choose products, look for artwork, prepare designs, work with illustrators, create collections, pack orders, answer emails, write blog posts and think far too much about whether a tiny sticker is useful enough to deserve a place in the shop.
Every order is packed by me in Lithuania.
I know that for many people this is not “just paper.” It is a hobby, a collection, a quiet ritual, a little connection with someone far away. So I try to pack orders with the same care I would want to receive myself.
Why does this shop exist
I believe postcards are still worth sending, because they feel human.
A postcard says: I chose this. I wrote this. I sent this from my little corner of the world to yours. That feeling is why I still love Postcrossing after all these years, and it is the reason Favorite Postcard exists.
My goal is simple: to help you enjoy sending real mail, without overthinking it, without needing the “perfect” card, and without losing the small joy that made you start in the first place.
