One ghost has chosen a pumpkin hat, while the other wears a witch hat and carries a little pumpkin bucket. Behind them, yellow windows light up a crooked haunted house as bats fly across the moon.

I’d send this one to a friend who enjoys ghost stories but prefers cute illustrations to anything truly frightening. The two little characters also make it a lovely choice for a pen pal you wish you could join for an autumn adventure.
